Course description: 

This PET Registry Review course is designed to give you an overview of PET/CT with an emphasis on preparing for the registry exam. There are four parts to this course. Each part consists of four to six videos. The parts must be completed in order. Continuing education credits will be awarded after the successful completion of each part. While this course will give you a thorough background of PET principles and practices, it does not guarantee a passing grade on the registry exam.

At the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • State the basic theory of PET and PET/CT physics
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PET reconstruction methods and principles
  • Identify instrumentation used in PET and NRC regulations
  • Identify PET and CT artifacts and their causes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PET radiopharmaceuticals, their properties and uses
  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceuticals used in PET/CT
  • State the basic knowledge of CT principles, attenuation correction, and artifacts
  • Obtain reference material available e for a PET review from various websites.
