Register What you will learn Course description: The purpose of this program is to provide Key operators and key technologists with the proper tools to understand and troubleshoot basic image quality issues when using the Philips Digital Diagnost (DD) equipment. We will inform the participant about the proper functional use of UNIQUE image processing and image processing manipulation. The student will be able to manipulate imaging parameters for customization at their facility following this training. Training will consist of both didactic and hands on instruction. We will provide theoretical concepts and associated clinical reinforcement of digital radiography image quality issues and image processing. Training in customizing the anatomy database, reprogramming the image processing parameters and techniques for image viewing, image reprocessing and manipulation will be provided. Technologists will convey this understanding through hands on manipulation, exercises and demonstrations of proper visualization techniques to display the anatomy in question appropriately and without artifact. Key operators are expected to provide training to additional radiology personnel as well as maintain the system for optimal image quality. Evaluation: Upon conclusion, the trainee shall demonstrate the ability to set up and manipulate the system and image processing efficiently, display image quality and evaluation of images, as well as complete the skills checklist to show proficiency. Philips will provide unique terminology, nomenclature, and acronyms; essential theory and knowledge of clinical operation; and practical demonstrations of essential operational skills. Each attendee has the opportunity to learn in a dynamic and interactive classroom and hands-on setting to retain as much knowledge as possible. This education also includes fully operational workstations for each individual. Travel package sold separately. Currency: USDCourse objectives: Following the program the participant will be able to: Recognize the DD systems currently in use today. Discuss the radiation safety issues associated with digital radiography. Differentiate between basic digital radiography and conventional radiography image quality issues. Manipulate the imaging parameters. Describe the various types of image quality artifacts that occur with Digital Imaging and troubleshoot how to minimize them whenever possible. Describe and use new troubleshooting techniques. Discuss how to assess and resolve an image quality issue. Show proficiency in hands on manipulation of the DD hardware.
