Register What you will learn Course description: This Virtual class is taught using simulations, hands-on activities and scenario-based discussion. You will be provided an individual PACS stand-alone system, a theoretical introduction and practical demos and exercises. You will acquire a better understanding of skills needed to proficiently perform various administrative tasks and functions of Vue PACS applications. Audience: The Vue PACS Administration training is designed for Hospital/Site Professionals, such as PACS Administrators, or an equivalent professional responsible for managing and maintaining PACS. Objectives At the end of this course, you will be able to: List the elements that will be covered in this course Describe the various components comprising a PACS system Identify the different software components of a Carestream PACS system Describe the concept of "streaming" and compression of images. User will be able to identify the differences between users and groups User will be able to identify what profiles are, and how they are used. User will be able to construct Users & Groups on the Carestream PACS system. User will be able to perform updates and reconciliations of studies in the PACS DB. User will be able to describe and utilize the Data Import key features and functions User will be able to configure the Data Import software User will be able to describe and utilize the Non-DICOM Import key features and functions User will be able to use the different study and series level toolbars, adjust layouts, and understand the registration feature User will be able to identify the difference between key images and bookmarks. User will be able to adjust the parameters of MPR, and successfully utilize MPR options. User will be able to able to successfully utilize the 3-D/Vessel Analysis toolsets such as volume rendering, angio MIP, bed/bone removal from a VOLR, define volume of interest, tissue definition, VOLR protocol editor, and save 3-D images/cine. User will be able to successfully utilize the Lesion Management tool, which includes bookmarks and the method of comparing bookmark measurements. User will be able to define a vessel, edit a defined vessel, create bookmarks, quantify vessel stenoses, and understand the automatic segmentation protocols. User will be able to utilize the system's mammography toolsets such as chest wall justification, quad zoom, and CAD. User will be able to utilize the application settings to make user, group, and system level customizations, and to understand how these customizations effect workflow. User will be able to see and use the Vue Reporting software and will be shown the features and functions of this application. User will be logging into Vue Motion and will be able to utilize this web-based viewer typically used by your clinicians. User will be able to utilize a D3 print (dicom tag list), be able to find the DICOM field names, and to search for the information contained in these fields. You will be given examples of how the D3 print can help you to troubleshoot a modality-related issue, as well as how to find the information needed for display protocols. User will be able to explain what a Display Protocol is, why they are important, how they are used, how they are built, what makes them work, and what they will not do. You will build Display Protocols and demonstrate how they work. User will be shown the dictionary maintenance tool and shown how to add entries. You will learn why this tool is helpful in DP functionality, User will be shown where the Audit Trail, license status, procedure code table, info-router, IS Link is located. Then at your site, your TIS will demonstrate/train you in function of these tools.
